The hotel is in a fantastic spot and the decor is lovely. However we went away for a special birthday break and had booked the class of room which was described as 'stunning views' of Edinburgh with various complimentary facilities. When we arrived our room faced a wall across the street. They did move us to a much better class of room which had fantastic views but was told that its the luck of the drawer which view you get. I feel they should be clearer on the website. Also complimentary, slippers, robes water etc had to be asked for and fruit & newspapers never offered or received.

Top Tip:
Whiskey experience and bus tour are highly recommended also the Witchery Restaurant. Local pubs and restaurants generally very good.
