The Novotel Hotel is housed in an imposing, modern building in a great location in Edinburgh's Old Town, near the Grassmarket.
As with most Novotels, there is lounge seating in the lobby alongside a Playstation 2 area and a modem connection point for laptops.
The hotel has 180 spacious, airy guestrooms, which feature the same crisp, contemporary décor as the rest of the building and feature all the amenities you would expect to ensure a comfortable stay, including flat screen televisions with Internet access, mini bar and personal safe suitable for laptops. Many guests value the quirky feature of Novotel bathrooms, where the WC is in a separate room from the bath, shower and wash hand basin. There are a very small number of smoking rooms in this hotel which can be requested.
There is a bar where guests can enjoy drinks 24 hours. For the more energetic, the hotel is home to a small fitness room, indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and stops service at 11pm.
